Whole raw premium maca (Botanical names: Lepidium meyenii and Lepidium peruvianum) powder is better than any roasted maca, monster maca or gelatinized maca (fiber removed). Whole raw premium maca powder contains all of the plant spirit and substance of the whole plant. It is the way ancient cultures consumed their maca. Any additional juicing or processing will always result in a more refined less whole product. Raw Maca is the Ancient Super Food of South America.

We offer some of the finest quality Authentic Peruvian Maca grown in South America. The roots are grown on 100% natural land that is free of chemicals and pesticides. The roots are never radiated, but sun-dried.

The Maca root has been used in Peru since before the times of the ancient Incans. The maca plant is similar to a radish or turnip and it can have different hues of color on its skin including red, purple, yellow or cream and black.

This raw maca can be powerful in its nourishing value. Many people usually take 1 to 2 teaspoons in a smoothie or recipe. Some people use 1 to 2 tablespoons (1/2 oz or 1 oz).

Maca is a vegetable root or tuber, related to the potato family, which grows ONLY in the high Andean plateaus of Peru at altitudes as high as 14,500 feet above sea level. Our maca is cultivated in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes. Maca is used by the locale as part of their daily diet.
